The Entrance is full of pelicans. And one pelican was quite bold, coming up to me while I was eating to check out what I had and see if he could have some. They are such majestic birds and I can see why my sister uses them in her artworks.

The Entrance is such a quiet place when it’s not a holiday season. The smell of KFC still wafts in the air, but there have been so many changes from my childhood. Gone are the days of the housie and bingo halls as well as the countless pinball arcades where I spent time. Gone too is the man who drew my portrait when I was seven and the t-shirt printing shops.
Even the daily pelican feeding has stopped. Only due to the pandemic, but hopefully it will one day reopen to make memories for a generation of kids to come.
